What exacly do we do
A Green Office (GO) is committed to assert sustainability, and where the stuÂdents are in charge! The goal of GO VHL is to raise awareness for the need of sustainable solutions by facilitating sustainable ideas, signals and initiatives from everyone involved with VHL.
Summarized, this is where students work on a better direct environment, within VHL, and thereby contribute to that of the world. We ask students and staff to contribute by inspiring and inciting them to take action on sustainability.
Especially students are asked to join the GO VHL and spread the message. Sustainability is not a dusty topic and it has many meanings, and although it is a serious issue, GO VHL is in for creative, out of the box, ludic actions.
What's in it for you
Besides the fact that it is fun and educational to work on sustainaÂbility projects and organize events, you can earn SLB or VIP points (for students in Leeuwarden)*.

In addition, you can join special training workshops and go to (national) sustainability events where you can expand your network.
In short, work on your knowledge about sustainable development, skills on implementing it, and upgrade your network and your CV!
What exacly does that mean
This means the GO VHL is trying to imrpove sustainable development on various areas. From the basic facility regimes like seperating waste and less energy consuming lights, from the 'cultural' aspects of sustainability within the building, switch off the light when you leave the room.
But how do you make peaple switch of that light every time, by themselves? And this is just a simple example...
And still a lot of lights stay on....
To inspire people to change their unsustainable
habits, whatever that might be, we need creative
ideas.
And how about the knowledge of the students when it comes to the latest sustainable developments developments? There are many people that can tell inspiring stories about sustainability within your field of expertise. Let's invite them to show us how important sustainability is for us all, and for your future career!

Do you want to reinforce our team? You can work on your own project, the Green Office has resources and helpfull teammembers to accompany you. Or you can contribute to existing projects like the "Green Wire", a series of lectures & workshops on different topics, linked to sustainability.
No fixed timetables, you can decide for yourself how much time you're willing to invest in it. We only ask for some dedication and responsibility :).
